Introduction

Morris Racing was established in July of 2002. The team was set up in Malaysia by expatriate Australian businessman Rodney Gilbert who has been based in the region for over ten years. The team is owned by Cashflow Trends Sdn. Bhd. a division of Trendworld Industrial Corporation LTD. Morris Racing currently competes in several go-kart championships in Malaysia and operates out of a workshop based at the Elite Karting Track. After a successful 2003 season, the team has set its ambitions higher for 2004. Charlie Charles, Mikko Nassi, and Melvin Moh will take part in the Formula 100 category in the Asian Zone Championships in South East Asia, and in the ICA category in the Asia-Pacific Karting Championships in Japan. Philosophy

Since Morris Racing’s inception emphasis has been placed on providing a professional, well presented, fully funded racing team. The team aims to attract the most talented and promising drivers in the region including local and international drivers and provide them with a platform to develop and display their talent in order to further their careers along the motorsports ladder. For 2004 the team's focus is karting and taking part in demanding races around the region. The highlight of the season will be the Asia Pacific CIK Championships held in Japan in November.

In the Future

Morris Racing's future plans extend further than karting, with long term intentions including the eventual move into the exciting world of single-seater racing. This will give drivers from the karting team a direct link into car racing and set them on a clear path to a career in motorsports. This will be achieved by entering a series such as the Formula BMW Asia series.
